First Things First

When the Lord called Janine and me to this ministry it was a with clear 2-fold mandate; He commanded me to equip believers for the work of ministry and to “teach My people to prosper”. Everything we do around here is ALWAYS with this focus in mind.
With the enemy throwing out so many different voices of distraction, today more than ever before we must be even more diligently determined to keep first thing FIRST. Just as Jesus said in Matthew 6:33,
…seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
I have found that no matter how much I love God and determine to do everything that I do to His glory it is very easy to be side tracked. When our Father called Joshua to lead the children of Israel into possessing the Promised Land, He gave him this instruction in Joshua 1:8,
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
God had given him the promise of prosperity and good success. But it was Joshua’s responsibility to meditate on the Word of God, speak the Word of God and then to do the Word of God.
My greatest dream, by the mandate of God, is to see each and every one of our partners prospering in GREAT success. So, if the instruction to Joshua was to meditate in the Word of God, we will endeavour to always ensure that we teach the Word of God in a way that whoever hears it will always be able to act on it in a practical way. We want to make sure that it is preached as far and wide as we possibly can.
I see a great move of Partners with God’s Kingdom rising like never before. Even more so as we see how much this world needs to hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I see a people who take up the mandate of God and follow the instructions as God gave Joshua. A nation of God’s Kingdom who stand fearless before the enemy with the Sword of the Word of God in their mouths. A united Family who go into the marketplaces, the schools, colleges and universities, the hospitals, the financial institutions, the places of arts and culture, the political high places…in fact, anywhere
that the enemy has had a stronghold, and to declare and establish the Kingdom of our God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
No matter where you are today and what you are doing. You can prosper and have good success right there. As you walk faithfully and diligently seeking first His Kingdom, the Lord will promote you to where you will be even more successful.
Here’s the three things I learnt from God’s instruction to Joshua:
1) Determine to read the Word of God and meditate in it every day.
Set a specific time aside in your day, every day, to read the Word of God. If you have not yet started, begin with just 10 minutes (even if it means waking up 10 minutes earlier). It will not be long before you will want to take more time.
Also, take the messages that we make available and listen to them while driving in your car, doing gym, cooking, working in the workshop… anywhere that you are able to do something while listening.
2) Speak the Word of God.
As you read or listen, you will see or hear scriptures that relate specifically to what you need in your life. Build them into confession statements and write them down somewhere that you will see them every day. Then EVERY time you see them, say them out loud giving God thanks that these things are coming to pass in your life.
3) Do the Word of God.
Whatever you have read and are confessing, think of ways that you can implement the Word of God in a practical way in your life. Take some time to convert the instructions of God into personalised actions. Then practice the changes until they become every day habits.
It will not be long… you will see tangible results…you will be making your way prosperous, enjoying good success.
Janine and I continue to stand with you and pray for you every day.
You are blessed!
