Fine Tuning your Spirit Man |

| John 10:27 Jesus said: "My sheep hear My voice
and I know them and they follow Me". |
| In order to follow Jesus and be effective and
successful in our lives we need to hear |
| His voice. |
|
|
|
Proverbs 3:5 says: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and
lean not on your own |
|
understanding". We cannot trust our own understanding. Even though God
had given us a |
|
mind, we have to continually renew our mind to think the way God thinks.
"Lean NOT on your |
|
own understanding". Verse 6 says: "In all your ways acknowledge Him
and He shall direct |
|
your paths". What happens when we come to a cross road in our life and
we do not know |
|
what the right decision is? "In all your ways acknowledge Him". We may
think we have the |
|
solution to a problem, because we faced this same situation
previously. It is vital for us to |
|
hear the Voice of God for every situation. |
|
|
|
2 Timothy 1:3, Paul tells them "I thank God whom I serve with a
pure conscience". A pure |
|
conscience is vital to hearing the Voice of God. We need to make sure
that our lives are in |
|
line with the Word of God. By being obedient to God's Voice, we learn
to be sensitive to His |
|
guidance. We must be careful not to allow our conscience to become
hardened. |
|
1 Timothy 4:3, "Whose conscience is as dead as seared flesh". |
|
|
|
We must keep our spirit pure. The Bible speaks of the Holy
Spirit speaking as a still, small |
|
voice. He does not boom out audibly. There are examples when He does
that but most of |
|
the time He does not. It is a still, small voice. My spirit man must
be sensitive. God thus |
|
speaks to us through our conscience, a sense or a witness, an inward
voice. When the |
|
Holy Spirit is giving me freedom to go ahead with a situation, we will
experience, peace, |
|
joy, rest, excitement. If we decide to go ahead with something, but it
is not God's will, we will |
|
experience unrest, confusion, uneasiness. |
|
|
|
It is so important to hear God's Voice in every situation and
decision in my life. Jesus said |
|
that the Holy Spirit will reveal to us the things that are to come. We
must be sensitive to |
|
hearing His Voice if we want to experience success in our lives. |
|
|
|
